The second largest city and the main port of Egypt, Alexandria was built by the Greek
architect Dinocrates (332-331 BC) on the site of an old village, Rhakotis, at the orders of
Alexander the Great.  We traveled south to Cairo, to see the Great Pyramids of Giza, the
renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities and Old Cairo.

Note the herd of
sheep right in

town. Besides
the sheep there
were cattle,

Our last stop was the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities.
We saw all the items that were found with King
Tutankhamen, but you are not allowed to take pictures
inside the museum.
