We arrived in Messina a few days after a huge landslide that
took over twenty lives. The entire town was in mourning and
the day we were there was the day they had a combined
funeral for those that died. This closed almost all the stores
and some of the other sights. So we just walked around town
and tried to stay out of the way of the mourners.
