We spent most of today at sea, so we ate (as usual!), played some
miniature golf with our friends, and watched the Libyan coast go by
since we were only about 4 miles off the coast (no liquor for the
next four days until we leave the Libyan waters!)
I love the gelatto!!

About five o'clock we entered the Tobruk harbor area.  Tobruk seems a lot cleaner than
the Alexandria area we just left.  There were a lot of people lining the shore, standing on
buildings, and looking out of windows when we arrived. They don't see many tourist
ships in Tobruk and they were all waving and seemed very glad to see us. This was the
first time our cruise line has landed at Tobruk and from the reception we got it may be
the first cruise ship.  There was an official greeting party of dignitaries that met the
captain at the gang plank and presented him with flowers.  Our ship was the only one
allowed in the harbor while were there. All the oil tankers remained anchored out of the
harbor area.  Security was very high for us.

Later, we all gathered in one of the lounges for a game of "World Traveler"
Trivial Pursuit.  The men against the women! We are not sure who the winner
was, but we all know we need to do more world traveling!
The sunset over Tobruk was quite nice and this was the first time we heard the
Muslim "call to prayers" sound out across the city.

Notice there
are no other
